TTT were commissioned by Henry J Lyons to provide an installation in their Dublin office courtyard. The main studio is entered at ground floor level, with the courtyard space at basement level. We decided to build a large steel planter bearing on the concrete retaining wall, so a specimen tree would be visible upon entering the main studio. We extended a steel band across the rear wall of the courtyard to encompass the space with vertical cuts in the steel made to symbolise a time chart and the markings of a measuring tape, extending from its holder, the planter.
